VA Caregivers Support - http://www.caregiver.va.gov/support_landing.asp

From one of our spouses... "You may apply for this even if you don't think you qualify. I applied for this in June and just found out I am approved. There is a bit of initial paperwork, several phone call interviews and a workbook/dvd course...with a test to complete and then the benefits begin. I was told the national average for caregivers is $10.65 but the benefit is paid according to your actual area and it is tax free. I didn't think I would qualify because my husband doesn't have physical needs but because of my constant monitoring his mental state I will be getting paid for ten hours a week. What a blessing!"
